Introductions

Mick’s Neon Fog is a literary blog featuring, mostly, prose poetry. There’s also a Writer’s Dictionary, which is where I keep a list of words I feel like I should know. There might be a few other random posts, rants or tangents, transcripts of heated emails. But don’t worry about those. What’s important is the prose poetry.

What is prose poetry?

I’m not sure. It’s a catchall category for formless, free-verse, unprofessional poetry, which seems like a great form for the internet. Plus, it’s cathartic to type.

Who am I?

I publish under the pseudonym Mick Hugh. Most of my work can be found here and at SuddenDenouement.com. SD is a literary collective and publishing label founded by Jasper Kerkau. I was also published once in Vagabonds: Anthology of the Mad Ones (Vol. 2).

Over the next six months I’ll be sending out new work to other online literary ventures while I finish work on my first novel, not yet titled. More prose poetry and short stores will, in the meantime, find their way into other publications.

Feel Free to Contact Me

I can be reached at BMickHugh@gmail.com. I respond first to emails about craft and publishing opportunities, but really I’m just happy to hear from people who’ve enjoyed the site.
